+ or - logic word combined with a neutral idea?

Let’s say I have a positive or negative logic word combined with a neutral idea (idea #1), what would the other idea (idea #2) be labelled as? Positive or negative or neutral?

Hi,

Kindly give an example of what you’re thinking so I’m sure we’re on the same page

Hey sure,

Example 1: Negative Logic Word: Earth revolves around the sun, even though …idea#2…

Example 2: Positive Logic Word: Earth revolves around the Sun; …idea#2…

While I understand that it depends on the content of idea that would help us decide the answer, I want to know what does the math rule for solving TC and SE question want us to do here? Like - x - = + and + x - = -… but in case of neutral idea#1 combined with positive or negative logic word, what should we anticipate the connotation of blank to be?

Thank you!

Okay, thanks for the clarification

For your example, idea #1 “Earth revolves around the sun” is neutral

In the first case;
Earth revolves around the sun, even though… idea#2…

Idea 2 will simply contrast idea 1.

If you’re going to use the math strategy here, and ascribe + or -, you would essentially have to ensure the logic tracks all through

You can decide to ascribe + or - to idea #1, but idea #2, would have to be the opposite

If idea #1 is +, idea #2 is - and vice versa

In the second case;

They would simply be the same

If idea #1 is +, idea #2 is + and vice versa.
