Pairing vs Math Strategy

In math strategy, Greg advised not seeing answers by any chance. However, in pairing strategy , Greg told us to see the answers first. So, which strategy should I decide on after seeing the question? I’m a little bit confused here. Can anyone please clarify this?

Someone can correct me if I’m mistaken, but I’ve only heard him use pairing strategy with sentence equivalence questions on the Verbal portion. For math, I think the reason he recommends not looking at the questions first is to try and analyze the given information without being distracted by the answers.

Thanks; I think I mixed TC with SE.
