150 is also a multiple of 2, so why would we not considering the 150th term to be -3?

Hi,
We are looking at the number in one pattern. In this case, the pattern is that with every three numbers, it repeats. Thus, we divide 150 by 3.

If the question goes like 1, -3, 1, -3, 1, -3…, then you may divide 150 by 2.
