Plan for GRE Retake

Hi Gregmat,

I took my GRE and received a 158 V, 161 Q and 5 Writing.
Quant Section 1: 2 problems incorrect (Algebra and Data Analysis)
Quant Section 2: 5 problems incorrect (Algebra, Geometry, 3 in Data Analysis) the level of difficulty went up significantly in section 2)
Verbal Section 1: 4 problems incorrect (RC Long, SE, 2 in TC)
Verbal Section 2: 3 problems incorrect (RC Short, 2 in SE)

My goal is to get a 326+. I studied from Magoosh and the ETS Super Power Pack. I used the Magoosh vocab flashcards. My last ETS practice timed test was a 163 V and 161 Q. Naturally I am stronger in quant and less so in verbal.

I am planning to retake in the next 1-2 months. I have not set a test date yet. Any suggestions for a study plan and how much time I need before my next test? I have a full time job but am a dedicated student who can put the hours into studying.

Thanks!

My typical answer to this kind of post is that it’s well worth it to book a session with a Gregmat tutor to create a study plan. It’s unlikely a forum comment is going to be detailed enough.

Thanks!
