Hi! I’m currently completing Week 3, Day 4 of the two-month program, and I came across this exercise, which has been resolved with C.
However, I think this might be incorrect, as there is no indication that the angle formed by tracing a line from P to O plus 𝑦∘ adds up to 180°. It could be >180°.
Ty for your help!!
Hint: “the distance between P and Q is 4”. What does that say about PO?
It implies that PO =2 = radius. But this does not imply that the segment PO and OQ are drawn in the same direction, as every point from O to the circumference =2. And the same applies to the other segment that is connected to the circumference. In other words, I think is wrong to assume that y must be acute.
Wouldn’t this example still be valid?
“distance between P and Q is 4”. In your picture, the distance between P and Q is not 4.
Aaa! Now I get it… It is like saying that the chord between P and Q is 4… while I was considering the sum of the two segments. TY
