Possible issue in a quant question from (GRE Quant Problem Solving)

Hey!
@gregmat Hope you are well. This question has been bumming me for quite some time now
You solved the question by {(2^36)/7}-2 instead of {(2^36-2)/7}.

Like in the end you subtract 2 from the cyclicity right but shouldn’t it be (2/7) that should be subtracted ??

I checked even via calculator, 6 is the answer

I don’t think it matters: the idea he’s trying to show is that 236 has remainder 1 when divided by 7, and hence 236 - 2 has remainder 6. Same if you do it the other way.
