Potential Error in PrepSwift Video Quiz

Hi, this question is from the PrepSwift Geometry video: Possible Side Lengths of a Triangle.
I believe the answer to this question is 4 and not 6 as stated in the video.

The lecture and rule of the concept states that for any generic triangle, the unknown side must be larger than the difference of the other two sides and smaller than their sum.
For this sum, this means that 1<x<7. Therefore, the possible values for the side will be from 2 to 6 inclusive. Therefore, the range will be 6-2=4.

Please let me know if I am mistaken in any way. Thanks!

Yes

Why is something 1.1 or 6.5 not allowed?

So the range will not really be 6 if we consider the extreme endpoints but very close to 6?

I too think it should not be 6 but lesser.

Yeah, i guess it’s not posed in the best way possible, but you can just interpret it as “what’s the length of the interval of possible values of x”

I was about to create a post for the same. I think the question should be changed or this should be added as an explanation
