Can you help me solve this? i can’t seem to understand how the answer is 6.7%.
Let Steve and Patricia’s property tax be S and P respectively. We know that
S = P - 140
S = 1960
Hence P = 1960 + 140 = 2100
You now need to find the percentage difference between 1960 and 2100. That’s
100 \times \left(\frac{140}{2100}\right)
which is 6.7% to the nearest 0.1%.
I can’t believe i was making an addition mistake and constantly arriving at wrong answer. thank you for this.
