How can you use uncontroversial in a duel? Duel is supposed to be like a blitzkrieg or mini-fight between two persons / categories, so its definitely controversial…Also pessimistic doesn’t make any sense to me in this context. Just because uncontroversial and pessimistic are opposites doesn’t mean they’ll fit the sentence. The pairs should be ambiguous and decisive.
