Hi, so I have started preparing for GRE and I am about halfway on week 2 of the 2 month plan but it is taking a lot of time to finish lectures or practice while juggling work for 8-9 hours as well.
Anyone have any tips on how to manage/prep better or have gone through a similar scenario and how you have handled it?
Thanks!

Some tips for staying focused while working a full-time job:
- Study at least for 2 hours a day (I finish work at 5 PM and study after dinner/before bedtime). It’s okay if you don’t get through all the content on a particular day. Set a consistent schedule for studying and let others in your household know what it is so they don’t bother you during that time.
- If you don’t work weekends, reserve one day for study. I usually try to do 5-8 hours of study on Sundays to catch up on things I missed.
- Focus on your weaknesses. Like GregMat suggests in the plan, if you are strong in one area don’t feel like you need to review all the content. I personally focus a lot more on quant because I’ve always been terrible at math.
- Stay hydrated and try to get good rest, even if it is difficult.
- Get a study buddy who can help keep you accountable, 'cause let’s face it, not all of us have the discipline to stay on the plan consistently.
You might have to sacrifice time away from friends and family to focus on studying, but try to remember what it means to you and your goals. I try to remind myself that staying up/missing out on a few hours of sleep each night sucks, but it is only temporary and will help me reach a bigger step in my life: being the first in my family to be admitted into grad school.
You got this!

I have been doing this and trying to stay on track as much as I can but I do split the day’s work into two sometimes.
Thanks.
Thank you for providing some tips as well as some much needed motivation.
Trying to set a consistent schedule is a lil difficult as I work in different shift timings but I try to study ~2 hours a day.
Thanks and cheers.
