Hi, i understand why the solution is correct but I was just trying to choose other values to test it and alot still allow B to be true. for example when I test 2,4 or 2,6. I thought the darker shaded region is the part the satisfies 2 equations and each square is essentially 2? is that incorrect?
What is “B”? Which question is this?
And yes, the “darker” shaded region is what you should be looking for (i.e, the top part of the graph).
B may look similar to the correct equation, which is why it seems to work with many of your test cases, but it won’t always work, as the solution points out.
In other words, parts of the dark shaded region will work with option B, but that does not mean that it’s correct.
