Prepping for GRE while working Full-time

I’m just starting out preparing for the GRE and I am a bit overwhelmed at just how much material there is. Does anyone have advice on how best to tailor studying when you only have an hour or two a day? I don’t want to spend my weekends just studying.

If you commute to work, it’s an excellent opportunity to review your vocabulary. You can take advantage of various flashcard apps, such as Anki or the Magoosh Vocab Builder app. Another option is to record words, meanings, and example sentences in your own voice and listen to them on your way to work. This way, you can make the most of your commuting time and improve your vocabulary skills. Alternatively, if Verbal isn’t an issue for you, you can use Gregmat’s Quant Flashcard or your own Quant flashcards to revise the topic quickly.

The most crucial part is to first determine your baseline. At the end of the first week of either study plan (1 month or 2 months), there is a diagnostic test which you should take to identify your current strengths and weaknesses. Based on the diagnostic’s results and your target score, you can determine how much time and effort you’ll need and can modify the 1-month and 2-months plan accordingly.
