PrepSwift: 30-60-90 Triangle Question 2 Help

Hello, I’m not sure I understand why the PrepSwift question here calculates area as 8 * (8 *√3) rather than having x = 8 and 3√x = 3√8 ?

The answer key has the height as (x / √3) and the hypotenuse as (2 * x / √3), which I find confusing instead of having the height as just x and the hypotenuse as 2x.

Can someone explain why? Thank you in advance!

Both works. In the solution we took the base as x - you’re taking the height as x instead.

However, doesn’t it produce different answers? Multiplying 8 * 3√8 will give a different number than 8 * 8 *√3?

It shouldn’t - share your steps.
