PrepSwift: Polynomial Degree Quiz Question#5

Hi,

The following question states that a certain expression has n distinct variables, what is the minimum degree possible?
I expected the answer to be 0 as the coefficient for the term in consideration could be zero (For example 0xyzabc…{n terms}) but to my surprise the actual answer mentioned is n.

So basically I just want to know how is it wrong to assume that the coefficient could be zero, is there a fact related to the terminologies used in the question (polynomial, expression etc…) that states that the term cannot have 0 as coefficient.

Thanks in Advance!

You’re right - we’ve adjusted the problem to fix that flaw.

Thanks for the quick response!
