Q17 - asks " how many seconds will it take for them to meet in the middle in a brutal crash that solves nothing". As the complete answer is 171.428 seconds, shouldn’t the seconds be rounded up i.e. 172 seconds instead of 171 seconds? This is because the crash wouldn’t have happened by 171 seconds, only 0.428 seconds after that
Similarly for Q19 - asks “If Smargel has to fill up the entire tank, how many minutes will it take?”. As the complete answer is 11.111 minutes, shoudn’t the mminutes be rounded up to 12 minutes instead of rounding down to 11 minutes. Again, the tank would not have been completely filled by 11 minutes.
When we round up values, we lose accuracy. But the question asks us to round to the nearest second/minute, so that should be the only consideration. Inspite of losing accuracy, we still need to do it.
But the answer becomes incorrect in that case.
Q7 - the crash would not have happened by 171 seconds. So its okay to round down, even if it means that actual logic of the question is not met?
Imagine if the correct answer was 1 hour and 1 second and the question asks you to round to the nearest whole hour. You probably won’t pick 2 hours as the solution. That would be even bigger inaccuracy.
