I am struggling to understand the right answer here, I really hope you can help me!
The question goes as follows:
*Palpatine pulls out marbles from a bag, this time without replacement. The bag contains a total of *
12 marbles: 4 purple, 3 red, and 5 green.
What is the probability he pulls a purple marble out third? And seventh?
According to Greg it’s always the same probability 3/12… Although if we are pulling out marbles without replacing them the probability is changing:
Purple marble - 3rd pull out
P= 8/12 * 7/11 *4/10
Purple marble - 7nth pull out
P= 8/12 *7/11 *6/10 *5/9 *4/8 *3/7 *4/6
Why is this wrong?
