Hi, here my answer logic also made sense while that didn’t turn out to be the right ans

Altho…has been more “DORMANT” than any.., it’s long dormancy before it’s recent eruption “PROVED” it’s violent nature.

This approach also makes sense, how do I think the other way? Pls suggest.

Well, they’re part of the same idea chunk, but only one portion of the idea applies specifically to blank 1. The “recent eruption” is more of a set up for blank 2, along with “violent nature”. But ultimately, this is one of those questions where it’s best to think about the sentence holistically–both blanks play off each other and require us to use the same clues to solve both.
