Quadrilaterals practice

I know greg explained the shortcut, but I still wanted to confirm this conventional way.

for the figure on the left im getting a total perimeter of 24*(2(470)+3(180)+2(290))= 49440
and for the figure on the right 4*(470)*24=45120

I’m confused…

perimeter of right side: 470 \times 4 = 1808
perimeter on the left : 470(bottom)+180+180(pink line)+ 290(green line) +290 +470\\ = 470 + (180+290)+(180+290) = 470 +470 +470 +470 = 470 \times 4
