Quant Arithmetic Question - Quiz 1

Hi, Could you please clarify why these answers are incorrect? I haven’t received any explanations for them, and I’ve successfully answered similar questions in both exercises and quizzes. And also, why radical 36 can’t be both -6 and +6? since (-6)*(-6) = 36.

Hi, what quiz is this from? Can you link the quiz?

Have you checked the solution video?

I missed the solution video earlier. Thank you for pointing it out! I’ll take a look, and if I have any further questions, I’ll reach out again.

I apologize but I have another question. Do the PrepSwift Quant videos cover all the concepts and key points included in the GRE math review file by ETS? I mean there is no need to focus on both?

Yes, I think it covers everything so just PrepSwift is enough. But if you’d like you can do the exercises in the math review guide for additional practice.

One thing that is not yet covered in PS is sequences, but you can find lectures for that by searching the main website:

Could you please specify the exact steps I should follow to search for this? Additionally, once we have completed all the exercises and quizzes, what other tests or books should we focus on? I’m particularly interested in alternatives beyond the two PowerPreps, which I prefer to reserve for closer to the actual test date.

After PrepSwift, take one of the 3 following routes:

  1. Week 4 of the 1 month Plan
  2. Week 5, 6, 7, and 8 of the 2 month plan
  3. The directions in this video:

Thanks! I’ve started the one-month plan. Did you mean I should focus on the additional questions in week four, or are the sequences automatically included in that week’s study plan?

Just do the 1 month plan as you are right now, and if by the end of Week 3 they haven’t came up yet, just do some of the classes I mentioned above. You should be fine sticking with the study plan but give yourself more than 1 month because you might need to repeat certain bits.

Thank you! Regarding the main question I asked yesterday about the Quant questions in TickBox Quiz 1, I have a clarification. To calculate the multiples of 3 within the interval of 1 to 100, should I use the formula (99-3/3) + 1 ?
Additionally, for factorials, when determining how many multiples of 3 are in 100! , do I need to perform the calculations: 100/3 , 100/9 , 100/27 , 100/81 - stopping at 3^4 - to find the total number of multiples of 3 in 100! ? I just want to ensure that I understand the differences in the methodologies for these two topics correctly.

Yeah, that seems right.

Yep, looks correct to me!

Thank you so much!
