Quant fundamental quiz question

Please check this question wording , as I am seeing it as

2*8*(1/x) = x^3 x=+/- 2, the result should be square of the number instead of cube of the number to get x=4 , please correct me if I am wrong @Leaderboard

Which quiz is this from, exactly?

Algebra Foundation Quiz #2

Double the reciprocal is

\frac{2}{x}

What happens when you do it eight times (this is not the same as multiplying)?

yeah, if you do it 8 times that means 16/x ? isnt it?

Nope - it’s

\left(\frac{2}{x}\right)^8

man!!! sorry to bother you how could I be so dumb :confused:

its because of my poor verbal skills, such negligence could destroy me in RCs

Hey Greg. It’s a little confusing how you write it here in brackets. That would also make x^8 in the denominator. Am I missing something here?

Thanks

To be fair, I think we do need to improve the question. I’ll flag this.
