The angle of intersection of l and p be w
y and w would be corresponding angles, thus w = y = 80
The angle vertically opposite x would also be x degrees
So, we get:
x + y + z = 180
30 + 80 + z = 180
z = 70

Thank you! For some reason I was getting tripped up thinking that 30 degrees is the external angle of the triangle formed by the intersecting lines, so then Y+Z should equal 30.
