Quant question from the official ETS guide

Hello Everyone,
I came across this question and I wanted to make sure if my reasoning makes sense here because the book explained it in a different way.
Basically I noticed since this point is on a line that creates a 44 degree angle with the axis, it means that X should be smaller than Y. because we know that if a point falls under the Y=X axis the x>y and if it falls above the Y=X axis that means y>x…
is this a correct way to solve for this question ?
thanks in advance.

It would be 46 degrees with respect to the x-axis though.
