Hi @gregmat
X<1 and x not equal to 0
Quantity A. Quantity B
X^2 +1 X^3 + 1
I came across this question in the ets quants book, when i solved this question my thought process was x<1 and x not equal to zero , so I took values, for values 0<x<1, x^2+1 is greater but its given x<1 , so I took x = -2 and for this case x^3 + 1 is greater so i chose D.
The answer given is A. By taking values I don’t understand what is wrong in my thought process, the solution they have given is according to inequalities but my approach is also not wrong. Can you please help me to explain why is it giving two different answers.
