I am kinda confused here. The 360ft is the distance between bob and john as they’re running?
It is a question of relative speed.
Bob is already running. In order to overtake bob in 12 minutes John speed must be greater than Bob.
360 =(x-5)*720
360 = distance John need to cover
X is John speed, 5 is Bob speed
12 minutes = 720 seconds
