Hello - the phrasing of questions like this - a negative number subtracted from a negative number - feels vague, as I assumed the way the question worded means the value is being subtracted no matter what, instead of subtraction + a negative symbol literally.

So my question is, what does this type of question look like on the actual GRE? Are they all phrased this way and do i make the same assumption as i had to here, that I’m subtracting a negative via (-)(-) literally instead of interpreting the question as (-) being the final operation?
