To answer this question I used the logic of odd factors and even factors with PF. Then I thought that the ODD factor was less, because it didn’t count the exponent of two.

I understood the explanation, but I cannot figure out why my explanation is not correct.

In all but one instance, this would be true.

If the exponent on 2 is 1, ie, if we have 2¹, the odd factors will be same as even because

• Even factors = 1 × odd exponents
• Odd factors = odd exponents

Because

1 × odd exponents = odd exponents,

even factors = odd factors.

You can pick numbers too. For ex, 450.
