Not seeing how “unassuming” and “reticent” are better synonyms than “stolid” and “reticent.” From my understanding, “unassuming” doesn’t have as much to do with restricting communication as it does with being humble, while “stolid” and “reticent” have nothing to do with being humble. I know that the question itself implies humility, but I would have marked “unassuming” as not having a pair.
I agree about unassuming so lets leave it out.
Now, out of all the options - I see reticent and stolid that maybe can be a pair with unassuming. Lets use them both -
- Stolid - basically someone unexcitable - and put it back into the sentence. It won’t really fit here since, he definately is excited/emotional about 'some’things.
- Reticent - introverted/shy - fits well and thus, this would be marked as a pair.
Since we know that the q has 2 right answers, its imperative to be flexible. To avoid getting caught in this trap (which is exactly what the Q wants) I try to switch to TC mode to conclude and move to the next Q.
Hope this helps
