Question about sets

Hi All,

I had a confusion about what it means to be ‘evenly spaced’:

Would “1, 4, 5, 6, 9” which is symmetrical be considered evenly spaced? I played around with the ‘median* number of numbers’ trick with both symmetrical and evenly spaced sets, and it gave me the sum. I just want to make sure my understanding is correct. So, I assume the median* number of numbers trick would work on both evenly spaced and symmetrical sets?

Thanks!

evenly spaced example: - 1,3,5,7,9
u see there is a difference of 2.

another example: - 5,5,5,5,5
the space here is 0

Also, the trick, mean=median, works for both symmetrical and evenly spaced.
