Question on Simplifying Algebraic Expressions 2 PrepSwift video

At the 6:40 mark, it’s said that negative 5 can’t be an answer. However, the simplified expression is 1/(x(x-5)) and if we plugged in -5 wouldn’t the denominator equal -5(-5-5) => -5(-10) => 50, which is allowed?

You need to consider the original expression, not the simplified one.
