Questions About Reading Comprehension (RC) Strategies

I have some questions

regarding reading comprehension (RC) strategies, and I would greatly

appreciate your guidance.

Specifically, I am wondering about the best approach to tackling a passage:

1. Should I first read the passage using all the strategies, such as

identifying the main idea, simplifying sentences, and identifying

functions, and then proceed to answer the questions? Or should I identify

the main idea first, answer the related questions, and then move on to the

other questions?

2. Additionally, when I start reading a passage, what should be my first

step? Should I focus on simplifying the sentences, identifying the

functions, and then determining the main idea, or is there a better

sequence to follow?

Thank you for your time and assistance. I’m looking forward to hearing your

advice.

It’s up to you, I tend to just read it properly and do the questions in order.
