Hi people! Trying to analyse the logic I use to solve RC passages- got a passage (as attached below) right, wanted to replay the logic to you all to see if this is the right approach (or was it a fluke xd).
Passage from Test 26, Big Book:
Passage:
Answer logic (mostly anchored on eliminating wrong vs. choosing right)
Chose (D) for the question below-
- Eliminated (A) as the reference to loyalty helps establish that the play is deliberately ironic in the first place - there is no reference to any experts till this part of the passage (I was most confused betwee this and right answer btw- any other way to justify this?)
- Eliminated (B) as (i) it only is in relation to Isaac’s view and not the author criticising Isaac
- Eliminated (C) as human solidarity is just one of the two differing themes touched upon by Hansberry, nothing on criticising other critics here
- Chose (D) as by praising another author similar to Hansberry, I inferred that this means criticising authors different from this
- Eliminated (E) as “ideal” describes internationalism which is only 1 of the two conflicting themes in Fanon’s work; nothing on parise/ criticism here
Throughout, I just kept in mind what the question is asking me, and tried to find a flaw in each of the answer choices, eliminating it if I found one
Would love any inputs on if this way of thinking is ideal? Is there a better logic/ more efficienct way of doing this?
Thank you!
