RC Doubt I Verbal Official Guide

Hi! Doubt from one of the pratice tests of the verbal official guide:

Unable to understand the evidence used for this RC question:

(Pasting passage for ref):

Question:

Can actually see no evidence for any of these answers- I did end up selecting (D) as thought that atleast had some evidence, i.e. passage states in the first side of claims that both prospective authors ha shared interests; but others state that only 1 author write this- so their shared interests are over-stated. However, I know this is a weak choice already since just because some others are claiming only 1 author wrote, doesn’t mean can’t have high degree of shared interests with others.

Correct answer is (B)- I could only see “innovation” in fiction related to this- which I oI understood as writing style of fiction vs. use of fiction.

Can you help me understand the logic here please?

I think the evidence is here. It shows 2 purposes of fiction that they support, “innovation” (creativity) and “didcactism” (educational):

and were enthusiastic supporters of didacticism and innovation in fiction- central concerns of The Cry.

The “central concerns of The Cry” is telling us that these features were a goal of the book which supports the idea that the cry is reflecting an interest in purposes of fiction.

Aah okay, understand now.
I was reading this wrong- thank you Ganesh, helpful!
