RC Main Idea and sentence Function identification execise Part 1

Highlighted the areas I thought were main Idea.

Sharing the sentence functions for each sentence below.

  1. Fact
  2. Elaborating on the fact or fact 2,
  3. Common View (not author’s) based on: For a brief
    moment in 1967, however, it appeared
  4. In support of the Common View Point (M.I. for Para 1)
  5. Main Idea for Paragraph 2.
  6. Support #1 for M.I. for P2.
  7. Support #2 for M.I. #2
  8. Concession or reasoning/explanation for M.I.

I have seen a couple of videos where Greg encourages people to practice sentence Function and share it for further discussion and for getting confirmation on whether they have got the sentence function right or not.

@gregmat let me know if this format is right or not. There doesn’t seem to be a dedicated section for it. Maybe dedicated category would be a good idea to keep tab on similar problems and for other people to practice as well.

It was in regards to the category section. As the gregmat site has started included subsections under the skill building tool related to RC. I wanted to get your opinion on whether something similar in terms of categories, sub-categories or tags can be created in the forum pages ?

Sorry, it seems like I misread your message. At the moment, I don’t think a dedicated category is required; however, if there is enough demand for one, we can certainly consider adding it.
