My question is this: What is the need for step 4 here? Why are we dividing 8 by 5 here? It seems kind of redundant. Why is 8 not the final answer. Thanks.
Hi! Because 8 is bigger than 5 and can still go once remaining 3. Another way to understand => 8 = 5+3. Hope this helps!
