Rounding on Video question

I’m going through your 1-month quide, week 3 day 3 data analysis session 1. At 36 minutes, the question attached is discussed.

Arithmetically, D is correct, I agree. However, the question is asking for a monetary answer, which only exists to the hundredths place, thus I rounded to get C. Could you please clarify for questions on the GRE, when should we round? Why was D correct over C when our currency doesn’t typically go to the thousandths?

Is something like this (with rounding discrepancies) likely for the new shorter gre?

Hey, I am getting 9.4 arithmetically.
4500 x 9 + 3000 x 10 = 70500
70500 / 7500 = 9.4

What is the correct answer?

The exact number is D: 9.375, which the video said is the right answer. however, since the answer is in DOLLARS, I believe the answer should be rounded to C (9.40). But that’s not what the video said

Ohh I read the question wrong. The question asks for the mean and it doesn’t need to represent a real life value since it showcases the property of multiple items. The rounding off comes into place when question talks about min/max no of people, machines etc and not a numeric statistical value.
