Can someone help me understand the subtle difference between mundane, tedious and quotidian, in reference to the SE in the given ss.

my guess is because we;re looking for the opposite of unique .i.e. blank should say not unique aka common thus, mundane and quotidian make much more sense then mundane and tedious (which instead conveys the idea that the work is not interesting or boring and would’ve been the right choice if question used something in the lines of " While Blanche considered her short stories on the modern family interesting… " )
