Seeking Advice: 148V/158Q Official

Hello, I took my first official GRE test today and was really disappointed with the results (148V/158Q). I scored (155V/156Q) on PP1 without any prep, 159V/162Q on PP2, 157V/158Q on PPP+ 1, and 151V/163Q on PPP+ 3. I’ve never been good at verbal, but it’s disheartening to see my score drop to worse than before prep. I watched the timer count down, and panicked.

Initially, I was hoping to apply to MBA programs in Round 1 (upcoming Fall) but looks like I may need to aim for Round 2 (upcoming Winter). Wondering if anyone has gone through a similar situation and if there are any words of advice? Also, looking for a study buddy!

I think you were doing great in verbal before your official test (Your cumulative average of all the tests for Verbal was 155)

Also, wait for your diagnostic report before you start prepping again to nail the specifics.

Did you try skipping questions ?

Thank you for taking time to respond! I am looking to take a break for the next week or so before prepping again.

I did try skipping questions after a long standstill. I completed the SE questions first, and stumbled when picking synonyms became difficult for the pairing strategy. My confidence further dipped when I stumbled on TC questions. By the time I got to RC questions, I had no confidence left

ETS should give 4 free token for therapy after the test!!
