Is this the wrong answer in the system? solution shows largest common factor but question asks for shared factors
How’d you get 9?
with shared factors using PF, you take common factors exponents and do the +1 trick.
756 - 2^2 3^2 7^1
720 - 2^4 3^2 5^1
common ones are 2 and 3, and we take 2^2 and 3^2, add 1 to both exponents hence 3x3=9 gives shared factors.
Your prime factorization for 756 isn’t correct.
Also assuming your prime factorization was right, I agree with:
but not sure what this is:
Why are you counting the number of factors? It’s asking you for the “largest positive shared factor”, which means a number that divides both 720 and 756.
