Should I switch from GRE to GMAT after V141 Q155 and V139 Q159?

I have taken the GRE twice.

For my first GRE attempt, I scored V141 and Q155.

Before my second GRE attempt, I followed PrepSwift and completed most of the quizzes on the website. I took several practice tests. My Full Practice Test 1 score was V147 and Q165, and Full Practice Test 2 was V147 and Q156. My PP1 score was Quant 162 and Verbal 147 and my PP2 score was Quant 159 and Verbal 140.

My second score was V139 and Q159.

I only need around a 600 GMAT which is around V:145 Q:165 score, and my deadline is the end of June. Should I switch to the GMAT, or should I take the GRE again?

You can try a GMAT practice test, but my feeling is that you are unlikely to find it easier to hit a 600 GMAT.

Important: is this 600 GMAT for the Focus or the previous version? A 600 GMAT for the Focus does not actually exist, so if they are referring to the previous version, that’s actually an advantage since the score required for Focus is lower.

Which university is this?

GMAT Focus Edition

if I want to hit the V:145 Q:165 score , Do I still have chance based on my deadline? How should I plan the GRE from now on?

25/30

OK so that’s a score that indicates that your foundation is likely to be good. Have you practiced quant strategy before?

I’ve watched the PrepSwift Quantitative Strategy module. Actually, I found that my performance in Section 1 is inconsistent. I feel overwhelmed by the long word problems, and I always feel pressed for time during the first section.

The overwhelm you feel looking at long word problems is not uncommon. Thankfully, there is a very simple solution to this. You need to look at solving any question like you’re driving in the fog. You cannot see the destination from where you are, but you can always see the next few meters. Just go that far.

In a word problem, do NOT read the entire question at once. Instead, pause after every phrase/sentence. Completely understand that part, translate it to Math before moving on. This way, you will only read a question once because now, you’re reading to comprehend, not just reading to read.

My feeling is that you need to work on quant strategy (Week 4 of the 1-month plan or Week 5 of the 2-month plan) and understand how choosing numbers, backsolving, skipping etc work.

May I also know how can I improve my Verbal from 139 to 145-147? What should I do to achieve that score. Thank you for your advice.

I have already remembered all the Day 1–34 vocabulary and completed each vocabulary quiz once. However, I haven’t watched the Verbal videos.
