Skipping Quant Problems on the Exam

Good (Select one: A. morning, B. Afternoon, C. Evening, D. Night, E. Bye).

Greg has often recommended that unless one is aiming for a 170 score on the GRE, a good strategy for questions that one finds difficult to start or difficult to complete is to skip that question.

My question is this. Let’s imagine that one skips 2-3 quant questions per section and gets all the rest right. How much will those skipped questions cost them, assuming that they guessed incorrectly on all skipped questions.

In other words, how much is a single quant question worth? if there are 40 questions, and a total of 160 possible points, it cant be the case that each question is worth 4 points. So how much are they worth?

The minimum marks one can get in verbal and quant is 130 out of 170. So essentially it can be 1 point per questions, but you can get some bonus points too depending upon the questions you have answered and their difficulty level.
You can easily get 160+ if you skip 2-3 questions per section in quant.
