so I know S.d is how spread out data is from avg, the question is standard deviation application in the real-life scenario…can someone explain the practical application

I am a working professional in the Electronics industry, making chips for Cars. So when designing and implementing these chips we use statistical data which is derived from simulations and then this standard deviation comes into picture. If you google about 3 Sigma and gaussian graphs. You will have a better understanding how it is used in the industry.
