Strategizing Strategy GRE

HELLO ! I already sat GRE two tests, and got these scores :

153V/153Q end of August

155V/153Q yesterday

I need to power through and have a score ready by the end of December, I am aiming for 325. I have 2 weeks in front of me to achieve this.

Quick skim over my GRE journey : I started with Magoosh, and would be found doing practice tests repeatedly - which was a big mistake, as I didn’t take the time to look at the foundation and memorize. I recently got gregmat / prepswift.

Between August and now, I powered on foundations. I have understood the concepts to their core and am diligent with my verbal active recall. I am 2/3 down the memorization stage, still going through verbal mountain.

But watching the gregmat videos really made me realise that my main 3 issues are strategy, navigating what the question is actually asking, and time management.

When I reflect on my errors after each practice test, I see that :

  • For quant, I usually already knew the concepts, but made silly mistakes because of time crunch OR not scanning the question.

  • For verbal, I am not harnessing the strategies (like the math strategy..etc) to their full potential, and fall in the traps of the question formulations.

This means that the points I would lose in August because of lacking knowledge / foundations, are the same points I am losing because of lacking strategy. Quite frustrating, but with the right strategy over the next two weeks, hoping to overcome this.

What would you advise me to do to reach my goal ? Could the gregmat tutors do consulting for study plans ? Who would you recommend I reach out to?

Thank you very much for reading this and helping me.
