I’m on Day 4 of the GregMat plan and I’m not sure if I’m interpreting the Verbal math strategy correctly.
I can usually spot support/contrast relationships, but I struggle with identifying the exact piece of evidence or idea to identify the right word for the blank.
Sometimes unfamiliar words (like patronage) hinder me from finding the answer as i cannot comphrehend the sentence
I find pairing skill-building manageable since I can see my mistakes, but I don’t feel the same progress with support/contrast. Should I memorize the word lists or just review them regularly?
On the Quant side, I scored 71% and 73% on Tick Box Quizzes 1 and 2, which makes me a little worried.
Is this normal at this stage, or should I be adjusting my approach?
I think it is normal. For me I really struggled with the support/contrast strategy as well and watching the lessons back with people getting them right so easily also made me feel like I should be getting it by now, but I think mid week 2 was when it really started settling in. For the quant, it depends on why you got that score. Was it because you made stupid mistakes or because you did not know the concept/ how to solve the question. If it is the first one (like it was for me) it’s not a big deal as I just took a practice exam after finishing the course last week and got 168 on Quant but got very low on first few quizes. But if you got the low score bc you don’t know the concepts then I would memorize the quant quant.
