Studying the vocab before practicing TC and SE questions

Should I learn all the complete vocab, provided by Gregmat’s Vocab List and other sources before attempting the limited TC and SE questions from official guide and big book?

My rationale behind it is that if I solve a question without knowing most of the words present inside it, there is high chance that I have to go for the solution, not because I didn’t apply the correct strategy but instead, I didn’t know the meanings. Now since the questions are limited (if we exclude 3rd party materials as suggested by Greg) even if I revisit the question, what have I observed that I tend to remember the answer which betrays the purpose of the questions i.e. to make me apply the strategy.

No, In GRE you will face words that you may have never encountered before and there you’ll be in real trouble. Also, GRE tests how you tackle general English (twisted ,complex sentence structure) and not just your lexical range. So, if you’re following any of the plans highlighted on the website adhere to that first and if you still got any extra time then you can put on some extra work on your vocabulary.

Thank you for the advice. But What should we do about the limited quantity of the questions we have, as I remember the answer to the questions whose solution I have seen?

You got plenty of questions in my personal opinion (BigBook+ OG + VPB) , the main issue is are you learning the strategies? It all comes down to : can you break down the question and come up with your own words for the blanks.

P.S. If you still have doubts then join the Have a Coffee Q&A Session on 5 July 8 AM PST and ask your query there (Tip - Join the class 15mins before starting time )
