I came across this question and I think the correct Similar is “by” but it says the correct word is Contrast “transform” . Can anyone explain why is this the case?

For me it would be something good, the reason I know that is because it transformed (changed) the derelict neighbourhood. So, I am looking for a contrast of the word “derelict”, and the reason I know that is because of the word “transformed”.

I think I made a mistake.
I was looking for the words that support/contrast the sentence.
However, as it seems that the “The derelict neighborhood has been completely transformed” is a one idea 1 and “the ___ public park” is another idea 2. And since, Idea 2 is the contrast of the idea 1 we need to look for the word that contrast and as transformed is the word that contrast, we select Transform.
Do you think this explanation correct? Or am I making a mistake.

In this case, the blank would be contrasting “derelict”, and you know that because of “transformed by”
