I am confused about the Blank 3. I though the correct answer is Contrast “with neither” but it seems like that answer is wrong. Can anyone tell me what might be the correct word and why?
is it “support” and “,” ?
with neither in a ___ role (part after the comma) supports the idea that humans and robots will collaoborate (part before the comma).
Can you list the following?
- What is your prediction for the blank
- Which piece of the sentence is your prediction supporting or contrasting
- How do you know you were supposed to support or contrast that
Yeah, specifically the “, with”
I don’t understand. How is it support?
Tommy and Marissa will ace the test, with neither of them scoring below 95.
Do you think the parts before and after the comma support each? If yes, that’s pretty much the same thing with the earlier example.
In that case, what will be in the blank?
What would be your prediction with this logic?
I don’t you are incorrect btw, I just want to know what you’d predict.
Sure.
I think Idea 1 “He imagines the pair will collaborate” and Idea 2 “with neither in a ___ role” are in support to each other. However the blank is in contrast due to the word “neither”. And so, i think blank will be a contrast of word collaborate.
Do you think the logic is correct? If it’s wrong, please explain me where it is wrong and what is the correct one.
Yeah, the logic is correct, thanks!
I’ve added “neither” to the answer key.
Thank you for your help. Because of your help, I am getting good at text completion. Thank You so much
You’re very welcome!
