Taking the gre at home in 2023

Please did anyone recently take the GRE from home in 2023?

I am retaking the GRE a second time and my first experience was at a test centre. However, all testing centres within my vicinity are completely booked until next year and I was considering taking the test at home since I have a limited timeline to put in my applications.

I have run my computer through the ProtorU test and read the equipment guidelines but most people I know that took the test at home, did so in 2021 or 2020. I am wondering if anything has changed as I would not want any issues.

Everyone’s feedback will be greatly appreciated as soon as possible.

I would recommened to run the all the application tests every other day the prior week, especially the day before and the morning of to make sure eveything is updated and running smooth.

For the whiteboard, what really helped me was getting extreme fine tip board markers so it acts more like a pen, would highly recommend doing that.

Also, keep in mind setting up with your proctor will take around 10-15 mins as well in the beginning.
