TC class question confustion

why is seemed (+) not a support logic word here for the first blank, and mutual teasing (- ) to say that the blank is (-) here.
In fact, the way we did it here, we just took hostility as a (-ve) even when there is a hole ( blank ) in that part. I mean putting something in that second blank would flip the second idea’s connotation right? I mean we need to take the idea’s connotation and multiply it with the logic word right? From both the angles, i don’t see the right way. Please help me through it.
@gregmat @ganesh @gupta.saranya05 or anyone who can help please.

Can you provide an example that would flip the connotation of hostility from -ve to +ve?

It would be helpful if you add,
The answer choices you picked and your approach

you picked?

Thank you for your response.
Got it. Even if i choose ‘aimless’ or ‘bitter’ for the first blank, i don’t have the option in choices to complement that right? If i had options in the second blank like ‘resolved’ , it could have been a different case right? Got it.

But if i choose seems ( just doing the process ), is it wrong? I mean the process is okay right? By taking seems as a logic word and doing the process i would not get the blanks so i would again come to look at the question and this time take hostility (-). Is this the correct way or i got something wrong here please?

Yes to both. If “resolved” was one of the options for the second blank, “aimleass” and resolved would work.

I don’t see anything necessarily wrong with this way. This should be ok.
