Hi! Doubt in this question-
Confused in the last blank here- I had guessed, “attention to”, since the following sentence talks about how journalists etc. immediately start to cover local news. Since they start to cover this news, there is surity that this is the next big thing, or might be it- that’s why I picked “guarantee of”.
Can you please explain why (G) is the correct answer and how I can strengthen my logic here?
Why G is a better pick: as if someone…… record executives and journalists (i.e, a lot of people) are crawling…..) —> indicating that a lot of people agree that the obscure locale is now the big thing.
Why I doesn’t work—> does not fit in well meaning wise. The sentence is describing a sudden agreement among tastemakers, not a certainty. Also ‘The momentary guarantee of what the next big thing is’ sounds awkward grammatically.
