Man relies on _____ to solve problems; a machine employs a _____ approach, ______ trying all possible solutions until one works
In this question, I initially thought that Blank 1 and 2 would be opposites because of the semicolon, signifying supporting ideas instead of contrast. Can someone please help where I went wrong initially or why semicolon is being used for a contrasting idea?
First I solved the last blank: “_____ trying all possible solutions until one works”
This is split into “_____ trying all possible solutions” + “until one works”. From this I filled in the blank as “Continuously”. I couldn’t really figure out a connotation here.
Next for blank 2:
“a machine employs a _____ approach, continuously trying all possible solutions until one works”
Herd from the comma, its a support and hence chose “all rounded”
Finally for blank 1:
“Man relies on _____ to solve problems; a machine employs an all rounded approach, continuously trying all possible solutions until one works”
The semicolon again provides support and so I put “machine like approach” as the answer.
